WIMSIG Conference 2024

WIMSIG Conference 2024 will celebrate the achievements of women, trans and gender diverse people in the mathematical sciences, with plenary speakers and special sessions spanning pure mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, and mathematics in industry.

Tuesday 1 - Wednesday 2 October 2024, Sydney Mathematical Research Institute (SMRI), the University of Sydney.

You can submit an abstract when you register, or register first and submit your abstract later.

Program and Events

Monday 30 September:  Welcome Reception, around 5pm, somewhere on campus at the University of Sydney (time and venue to be confirmed)

Tuesday 1 October: Conference Dinner at the Darling Rooms, Dockside, Cockle Bay Wharf, from 6:30pm.

Wednesday 2 October:  LGBTQI+ and Allies Lunch

When you register, please indicate whether you plan to attend these events (no additional charge). We will provide morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea for all conference participants on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Note: due to capacity constraints we are not offering extra conference dinner tickets for guests.  We may be able to offer these later.
