Three postdoctoral research positions at SMRI: apply by January 2023

There are currently three open postdoctoral positions at the University of Sydney’s School of Mathematics and Statistics and SMRI. We welcome applications over the coming month.

Postdoctoral Research Associate in Mathematics and Statistics: full time, 3 years fixed term position (Level A), located in the Camperdown Campus at the School of Mathematics and Statistics. The successful applicant will undertake research embedded in one of the research groups in the School and will be affiliated with SMRI under the supervision of Professor Stephan Tillmann. Preference will be given to candidates working in the areas of applied mathematics, or theoretical or applied statistics, and who will be able to build capacity in these areas at SMRI through the organization of seminars, conferences, or outreach activities. Postdoctoral Research Associate in Mathematics and AI: full time, 3 years fixed term position (Level A), located in the Quadrangle, Camperdown Campus. The successful applicant will undertake research embedded in one of the research groups in the School of Mathematics and Statistics and will be affiliated with SMRI under the supervision of Professor Geordie Williamson. Preference will be given to candidates working in the areas of applied mathematics, or theoretical or applied statistics, and who will be able to build capacity in these areas at SMRI through the organization of seminars, conferences, or outreach activities. Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Mathematics and AI: full time, 3 years fixed term position (Level B), located in the Quadrangle, Camperdown Campus. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Professor Geordie Williamson at SMRI. The successful applicant will undertake research at the interface of mathematics and artificial intelligence and develop novel algorithms.
